We are always excited for Halloween and the books are always amazing. This year we have curated a list we know our middle grade and young adult readers will be thrilled about.

These books are full of vampires, ghouls, ghost and haunted neighborhoods, so let the spookiness begin.

BE WARY OF THE SILENT WOODS

We love graphic novels and BE WARY OF THE SILENT WOODS by Svetlana Chmakova is full of thrilling adventures that little thrill-seekers will love.

Things are super weird in Ailis and Na’ya’s neighborhood. They just can’t tell who’s who. No one ventures into Silent Woods, but when Na’ya’s brother goes missing they embark on a mission to the scary mansion in Silent Woods to find him. It’s full of mystery and creepy creatures.

The story is great for middle graders because it encourages bravery and family support. The illustrations are magnificent.

This book is spooky and takes hide-and-seek to a whole other level. It’s a book you just wouldn’t want to put down because it’s full of mystery and thrill.

WHISPERING PINES

If you’re a fan of Stranger Things, then you are going to love WHISPERING PINES by Heidi Lang and Kati Bartkowski.

After the disappearance of her father, Rae and her family moved to a new town for a fresh start. Whispering Pines was a strange little town and far from normal.

Children went missing and then returned like zombies with their eyes removed, so after a girl at Rae’s school went missing, she and her neighbor Caden begin to investigate.

Caden comes from a family of ghost hunters, and after losing his brother, he may know why the children are missing.
